Bliss Cart Hits the Streets of Eugene

On May 7th Luna and Larry’s Coconut Bliss was thrilled to bring their new Bliss Cart to the streets of Eugene, just in time for summer.
The Cart’s menu features the Naked Coconut and Dark Chocolate Bliss Bars as well as locally made vegan and organic ice cream Bliss Sandwiches in a variety of unique and delicious combinations.
Coconut Bliss teamed up with Christina Sasser, the Bliss Cart business owner, to bring this unique ice cream cart to life. “Myself and everyone at Coconut Bliss share a passion for sustainability, organic, local, and delicious food. It was an easy decision to start this project, because it is fun and I truly love to spread the bliss,” says Christina.
Coconut Bliss has updated the traditional ice cream cart concept and created the revolutionary Bliss Cart. Rod Bautista, owner of Perennial Bicycle Company, built this custom cart locally in Eugene. The Bliss Cart functions as both a human powered bicycle ice cream cart and a push cart for rougher outdoor terrain.
Equipped with cold cell technology and pedal powered lights, the Bliss Cart can be plugged in overnight to charge up and then unplugged to be entirely mobile during the day. It keeps the ice cream frozen without the use of a generator or dry ice. Also, since this is a fully human powered way of bringing the bliss to the people, there is of course no petroleum or gas needed to run the Bliss Cart.
From May to Oct. the Bliss Cart will be found in various locations around Eugene. Look for it downtown, doing free samplings at one of Eugene’s many local health foods stores, or around your neighborhood. The Cart will also be spreading the Bliss at popular festivals and events all throughout the Northwest. Look for it at the Oregon County Fair, the Eugene Celebration, Fairieworlds, the Portland Bridge Festival, Emerg-N-See, Beloved Festival, Harmony Festival in California and many more.
The Cart is also available throughout Oregon for private parties, events, weddings, and gatherings. Contact Christina Sasser at christina@coconutbliss.com if you’re interested in booking the Bliss Cart or would like more information.
